McTimoney chiropractic is a gentle treatment which aims to treat the underlying causes of pain and discomfort by using a combination of light  skeletal adjustments and muscle release techniques. This corrects the alignment of the spine and pelvis and helps the joints move as well as they can, in turn ensuring that the body’s nerve supply works efficiently. Through subtle adjustments, McTimoney Chiropractic treatment can relieve pain and discomfort, increase mobility and provide a route to better health.

McTimoney Chiropractic may help recovery from a wide range of muscle, skeleton and nerve problems including trapped nerves, frozen shoulders, tennis elbow, back pain and joint stiffness. If you are not sure that chiropractic will help your condition, you can book  a free 15 minute spine check with a chiropractor who will discuss your symptoms and carry out a brief physical check - there is no obligation involved and the chiropractor will advise alternative approaches if these are more appropriate.

The number of treatments required varies depending on age, fitness level, occupation and whether the condition is recent or long term. Once the problem has been resolved, a regular check-up appointment every three or six months is recommended to avoid a recurrence and maintain good health.

The first appointment takes one hour and consists of assessment, diagnosis and treatment. The length of following treatments depends on the problem involved and varies between 30 minutes and one hour. Treatment is given through light clothing wherever possible.

The cost of treatment is £42 per hour, £32 for 45 minutes and £22 for 30 minutes.
